Senior Java Developer

Location: Remote in Latvia, Portugal, or Poland

What you will do

• Transform the existing B2B Shop Java application into an architecture designed by the architectural core team.
• Analyze, understand, and migrate existing service domains through reverse engineering.
• Ensure software quality across security, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate continuously with other Scrum teams and the architectural core team.

Requirements

• Several years of professional software development experience with the Java technology stack.
• Experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Apache Commons, web services, and older Java versions.
• Strong experience with reverse engineering, legacy code, and service-domain migration.
• Experience working with agile frameworks, especially Scrum.
• Understanding of secure coding principles and practices.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Conceptual understanding and hands-on experience with Kafka.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and deploying or managing containerized applications.
