Civil Engineer / Permitting Specialist

Location: Hybrid position based in the Waltham, MA office, United States

Compensation: $140,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

• Coordinate complex land development and infrastructure projects from conception through completion.
• Manage stormwater and permitting design for complex site development and infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate wetland delineations, environmental resource assessments, GIS reviews, and field investigations.
• Prepare technical reports, engineering calculations, design documentation, and construction-related plans.
• Oversee, mentor, and support junior engineering and design staff.
• Coordinate schedules, quality deliverables, stakeholder meetings, design reviews, and multidisciplinary engineering solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of related civil engineering and permitting experience.
• Experience with infrastructure projects, including civil site design, environmental coordination and permitting, hydrology and stormwater management, construction details, and plan preparation.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley products.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• Experience supporting Department of Transportation projects.
• Experience supporting Federal Aviation Administration projects.
• Experience collaborating with technical staff and project delivery teams.
• Familiarity with large-scale public-sector and infrastructure projects.
