Product Manager (Interoperability)

What you will do

• Own interoperability capabilities across Patient Access, Provider Access, payer-to-payer exchange, electronic prior authorization, consent, attribution, and supporting platform capabilities.
• Set product strategy and roadmap priorities while partnering with the existing interoperability product lead.
• Interpret CMS regulations and HL7 FHIR implementation guides and translate them into product direction, requirements, and decisions.
• Create PRDs, epics, user journeys, workflows, user stories, and acceptance criteria for Engineering and QA.
• Partner with Engineering and Architecture on API design, bulk data performance, FHIR mapping, identity, authorization, observability, audit logging, and error handling.
• Support delivery through release planning, implementation readiness, UAT, go-live, stabilization, documentation, and ongoing product improvement.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of product management experience, including meaningful experience in US healthcare technology, payer data, or healthcare interoperability.
• Practical knowledge of CMS-9115 and CMS-0057 and awareness of emerging interoperability mandates.
• Working knowledge of HL7 FHIR R4, REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, bulk data exchange, and healthcare identity.
• Experience defining and launching healthcare SaaS, API, data, or interoperability products.
• Ability to collaborate credibly with Engineering, Architecture, QA, Security, Data, Implementation, clients, vendors, and senior stakeholders.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Productboard, and Agile or Scrum delivery; a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, Blues, or commercial lines of business.
• Exposure to FHIR server platforms, AWS or Azure cloud-native deployment, Databricks, EMPI, MDM, identity resolution, member matching, or consent management.
• Experience with prior authorization, payer-to-provider exchange, healthcare data transformation, T-MSIS, MMIS, NCPDP, X12 EDI, or HEDIS dQM.
• Familiarity with OIDC, SAML, client credentials, mTLS, and SSO identity patterns.
