Project Implementation Engineer (Healthcare Automation)

Location: Darmstadt, Hessen, Germany; field-based role with more than 75% on-site customer work across the DACH region and frequent travel.

Base compensation: €40,000–€55,000 per year.

What you will do

• Support the Project Implementation Manager in implementing automated stock control systems in public and private hospitals.
• Plan automation schemes, configure systems, create databases, analyze data, and support software and hardware implementation.
• Coordinate site preparation, equipment delivery, technical setup, hardware reconfiguration, and local IT and cybersecurity activities.
• Support end-to-end testing, user acceptance testing, go-live, and post-go-live customer support.
• Train customer users, guide cabinet configuration according to best practices, and support correct system adoption.
• Manage implementation tasks across multiple projects, report risks and issues, and progressively lead smaller installations.

Requirements

• Fluent, business-level German and English are essential.
• At least four years of established employment experience.
• Experience implementing software systems, process automation, or solutions and process changes.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Microsoft Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Excellent computer skills with Windows operating systems; knowledge of databases, networks, and computer hardware is desirable.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, teamwork, independence, and customer-facing skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in hospital pharmacy, pharmacy robotics, pharmacy software, nursing, medication management, supply chain, logistics, stock control, or procurement.
• Experience with hospital information systems, EPR, EPMA, ERP, inventory control, or German HIS vendors.
