TL;DR
IT Project Technician II (IT Infrastructure): Deploying and configuring workstations, network hardware, telephony endpoints, printers, and clinical peripherals across oncology practice sites with an accent on Tier 2 troubleshooting, hardware installation, and deployment readiness. Focus on executing cutovers, migrations, go-lives, and office integrations while coordinating with remote engineering teams, vendors, ISPs, and on-site contractors.

Location: Remote-based within the continental United States, with 50–60% air travel to practice sites nationwide and multi-day on-site deployments

What you will do

  • Execute on-site IT infrastructure projects for practice integrations, go-lives, office openings, relocations, and hardware refreshes.
  • Deploy and configure workstations, laptops, printers, scanners, clinical peripherals, network equipment, wireless access points, firewalls, and VoIP endpoints.
  • Serve as the on-site technical resource for remote engineering teams during cutovers, migrations, and troubleshooting.
  • Image, stage, and configure endpoints and hardware remotely and on-site before deployment.
  • Provide Tier 2 troubleshooting for Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID, printing, and network connectivity issues.
  • Document site configurations, asset inventories, deployment checklists, and completed work while coordinating with vendors, ISPs, and low-voltage contractors.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on Tier 2 IT support experience in desktop support, field services, or infrastructure engineering.
  • Working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID, endpoint imaging, and printer/peripheral troubleshooting.
  • Experience physically installing and deploying IT hardware, including workstations, network equipment, phones, and peripherals.
  • Basic networking knowledge covering TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, patching, and cabling standards.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lb and work in server or network closets.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to rent vehicles for local travel from airports are required.

Nice to have

  • Experience documenting work in an ITSM or ticketing system.
  • Healthcare, multi-site, or IT MSP experience.
  • CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification.
  • Familiarity with enterprise firewall, wireless, VDI, VoIP, or RMM platforms.
