Senior Software Engineer, Developer Services Engineering (Cloud Infrastructure)

Location: Owings Mills, Maryland, United States; hybrid work with up to three days per week from home. Applicants must have US work authorization that does not require current or future visa sponsorship.

Base salary: $121,000–$206,000 annually for Maryland, Colorado, Washington, and remote workers. Employees may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Design, build, implement, and operate robust, scalable, resilient cloud infrastructure and software solutions.
• Orchestrate cloud installations and develop features for software products serving the development community.
• Own, deliver, manage, and support enterprise software products and developer services.
• Guide cloud infrastructure and software upgrades, enhancements, and replacement decisions.
• Lead incident response, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement across multiple technical domains.
• Lead technically complex initiatives, align stakeholders, mentor engineers, and establish engineering standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant experience, plus 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Strong experience with software development lifecycle processes, tools, and enterprise services.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, including compute, storage, networking, security, and observability.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, automation, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and modern software delivery tooling.
• Knowledge of operating systems, networking, identity and access management, monitoring, logging, alerting, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
• US work authorization without current or future visa sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, GitLab, Artifactory, Kubernetes, or Docker.
• Familiarity with AI/ML platform infrastructure, data pipelines, and model deployment and monitoring.
• Experience in regulated environments with governance, risk management, audit readiness, and secure engineering controls.
