HSE & Security Site Leader

Location: Irving, TX, USA; onsite role. Travel up to 5%.

What you will do

• Lead health, safety, environmental, and security programs and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and Smiths requirements.
• Manage and continuously improve HSE management systems aligned with ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001.
• Coordinate site-wide HSE activities, audits, reporting, benchmarking, and best-practice implementation.
• Evaluate industrial hazards, conduct risk assessments, investigate incidents, and develop corrective actions.
• Identify training needs and conduct safety training and coaching for employees and line teams.
• Drive energy and water reduction, waste minimization, regulatory updates, and business continuity activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in health, safety, environmental studies, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; experience with electronic products is preferred.
• Knowledge of local and regional environmental, safety, and health laws, regulations, and standards.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001, incident investigation, root cause analysis, chemical labeling, SDS, spill reporting, and exposure controls.
• Well-spoken and written English is required. Bilingual Spanish is preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, prioritization, and leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Lean/Six Sigma experience.
• Internal auditor certification for ISO 14000 and OHS 18001.
