Fulfilment Site Lead (Automated Site)

Location: Utrecht, Netherlands; the role is based on the floor of an automated fulfilment warehouse.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, operations managers, value stream leads, and support functions across a team of 500–1,000 colleagues.
• Set the direction for daily operations in a high-throughput automated fulfilment centre processing around 100,000 weekly deliveries.
• Own site performance, safety, quality, business continuity, and crisis management.
• Build a culture of execution, ownership, accountability, and operational maturity.
• Drive Lean continuous improvement using data, KPIs, operational experience, and team insights.
• Coordinate with last-mile teams, central operations, analysts, and sites in Germany and France.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in logistics, engineering, business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of operations experience, including 3–5 years leading large, multi-shift teams of 300+ FTEs.
• Hands-on leadership experience in high-volume automated or semi-automated fulfilment or production environments with high SKU complexity.
• Demonstrated success in Lean operations and continuous improvement.
• Data-driven approach with confidence using KPIs and insights to guide strategic decisions.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English are required.
