TL;DR
Commissioning Engineer – Electrical (Mission-Critical Facilities): Supporting the commissioning, testing, validation, and handover of critical electrical systems for data centres and building services projects across Australia with an accent on LV/HV distribution, UPS, generators, SCADA, EPMS, and BMS. Focus on factory and site acceptance testing, troubleshooting system performance, managing commissioning documentation, and validating operational readiness.
Location: Permanent position based in Sydney, Australia, with travel to project sites as required

What you will do
- Support commissioning throughout construction, testing, validation, and handover phases.
- Participate in Factory Witness Tests, Factory Acceptance Tests, site inspections, and functional performance testing.
- Review commissioning plans, test procedures, technical submissions, energisation plans, and project documentation.
- Troubleshoot issues, verify system performance, and track project risks and system readiness.
- Collaborate with contractors, consultants, vendors, facility operators, and client teams.
- Maintain commissioning records, reports, test scripts, handover documentation, and data in commissioning management platforms.
Requirements
- Degree, diploma, trade qualification, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.
- Experience in commissioning, construction, facilities engineering, building services, or site-based projects.
- Exposure to LV/HV distribution, transformers, switchboards, UPS systems, generators, fuel systems, SCADA, EPMS, and BMS.
- Experience or exposure to factory testing, equipment inspections, system testing, and commissioning management processes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance are advantageous.

- Experience with data centres, healthcare projects, or other critical environments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and commissioning management platforms.
