Service & Commissioning Manager (Data Centres)

Location: Predominantly based at data centres in Sydney, Australia; occasional interstate and overseas travel may be required.

What you will do

• Lead commissioning and handover for new data centre projects in Sydney through successful completion and transition to operations and customers.
• Coordinate general contractors, suppliers, commissioning agents, consultants, construction teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage multiple projects and lead commissioning teams across different stages of delivery.
• Establish commissioning schedules, drive factory testing of MEP equipment, and coordinate activities to meet required completion dates.
• Review MEP, DCS, ICT, security, and other services designs for compliance with company requirements.
• Resolve technical issues, oversee defect management and root cause analysis, and coordinate MOPS, O&M manuals, and operational training.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Building Services or Commissioning Manager in a general contractor or commissioning agent role.
• Experience leading successful handover of complex projects, ideally data centre projects.
• Experience collaborating with MEP suppliers, contractors, and commissioning agents across the APAC market.
• Experience commissioning in live, operational environments.
• Strong communication, presentation, decision-making, and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel internally and to other APAC regions.
