Accountant II

Location: Omaha, Nebraska — Omaha Office

Hematology & Oncology Consultants is a physician-led oncology practice serving Omaha and surrounding rural communities as part of hirify.global.

What you will do

• Maintain general ledgers, financial schedules, journal entries, cash schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Complete monthly financial close activities, record accruals, and review invoice coding for accurate expense classification.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain fixed asset records, including depreciation, additions, disposals, and reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reporting packages, practice-specific analyses, and accounting adjustments for review by the Controller and leadership.
• Support accounting for newly affiliated practices, annual budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with Management Services Agreements.
• Provide guidance and work direction to Staff Accountants, Accounting Specialists, or other support staff when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
• Two to five years of progressively responsible accounting or fiscal management experience.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and deadline-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to maintain confidential information.

Nice to have

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
• Healthcare accounting experience.
