Healthcare Studio Leader

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid work model with four days in the office and flexibility to work elsewhere on Fridays. Must be eligible to work in the United States without work visa or residency sponsorship.

Pay range: $185,000–$215,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Lead the local Healthcare practice in New York City and the broader tri-state market.
• Build relationships with healthcare systems, executives, administrators, consultants, contractors, and industry partners.
• Identify and pursue new healthcare opportunities, including pursuit strategy, client interviews, proposals, and planning narratives.
• Represent the firm through healthcare organizations, conferences, panels, and professional networks.
• Partner with project managers and integrated design teams on scope, schedule, staffing, quality, financial performance, and client satisfaction.
• Guide and mentor project teams while building local healthcare expertise and a collaborative studio culture.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in healthcare architecture, design, planning, project leadership, or a related practice area.
• Experience developing client relationships and supporting growth within a healthcare practice, studio, or market.
• Strong knowledge of the New York City and tri-state healthcare market, including New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
• Experience leading or supporting complex healthcare projects.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Planning, Engineering, or a related field.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without work visa or residency sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with medical planning, clinical workflows, functional programming, room-by-room planning, and departmental relationships.
• Experience with inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, specialty care, medical office, renovation, expansion, or campus-based healthcare projects.
• Active participation in healthcare-focused professional organizations and recognized industry presence through speaking, panels, publications, or conferences.
• ACHA, EDAC, LEED, or another relevant healthcare design credential.
• Experience with facility master planning, strategic campus planning, multi-site health systems, Lean design, design-build, or alternative delivery methods.
