Director, DBS Leader - Lean (Lean)

Location: Richmond, Illinois, United States; on-site role. Approximately 25% travel, predominantly domestic with some international travel.

Annual salary: $180,000–$200,000, plus bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Lead Lean hirify.global Business System implementation at the Richmond manufacturing site.
• Serve as the Lean DBS subject matter expert and drive sustained operational improvements and Kaizen results.
• Use DBS Fundamentals and Lean tools across reliability, operations, supply chain, and materials.
• Develop and improve Operations processes as part of the site leadership team.
• Create and lead the Kaizen Funnel and Certified Practitioner plan to address KPI gaps.
• Facilitate problem-solving teams and implement Visual & Daily Management at Gemba.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years of experience in Operations, Engineering, Lean, or a related continuous improvement role.
• Hands-on experience implementing improvements in a structured continuous improvement environment such as DBS, Lean Six Sigma, or TPS.
• Practitioner-level mastery of DBS Fundamentals and strong proficiency with Lean tools across operational and transactional processes.
• Ability to partner with business leaders, influence without authority, and deliver measurable improvements tied to business metrics.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Science.
• Knowledge of DBS Lean tools covering Operations, hirify.global Reliability System, Supply Chain, and hirify.global Materials System.
• Certification as a practitioner in at least one appropriate Lean DBS tool.
• Experience managing people or projects.
