Director, Transcend R&D, BPO End to End (SAP)

Location: Beerse, Antwerp, Belgium; also available in Malvern, Horsham, or Titusville, United States. Hybrid role with up to 15% international travel.

Base pay range: €119,200–€204,355 per year, plus an annual bonus and location-dependent benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the R&D capability roadmap, value opportunities, and measurable business outcomes for the Transcend transformation program.
• Re-engineer R&D business processes for a standardized global SAP template covering clinical supply chain and related functions.
• Partner with senior R&D, Innovative Medicine Supply Chain, and Transcend leaders to define the end-to-end process vision and drive standardization decisions.
• Influence portfolio management and organizational readiness across multiple functions and deployment waves.
• Lead, mentor, and develop R&D Business Process Owners across manufacturing, logistics, global trade, study management, and planning and sourcing.
• Establish compliance-by-design, audit readiness, and a sustainable continuous-improvement backlog after launch.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Life Sciences, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in R&D, clinical supply chain, supply chain, SAP technology, or enterprise transformation.
• Success delivering global process re-engineering, ERP-enabled transformation, operating model change, or global template governance in a complex regulated environment.
• Experience setting strategic direction, creating capability roadmaps, quantifying business value, and tracking adoption and performance measures.
• Strong people leadership and executive stakeholder management skills, including influencing senior leaders and resolving ambiguity.
• Relevant SAP S/4HANA and global template experience across supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, planning, procurement, quality, data, or clinical supply processes.

Nice to have

• MBA, PMI, APICS CSCP, Lean/Six Sigma, or comparable transformation and process re-engineering certification.
• Experience with GxP, SOX, SDLC/CSV, data integrity, compliance-by-design, and audit readiness.
• Experience with enterprise change management, business adoption, Fit-to-Standard, Agile/PI planning, Jira, or Confluence.
