Director, Business Application Operations (Workday)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; remote work with occasional onsite presence

Salary: $183,600–$208,400 per year

What you will do

• Lead daily operations and support for Workday, UKG, and other enterprise applications used by more than 14,000 users.
• Improve application performance, availability, scalability, monitoring, and service standards.
• Manage enterprise release, change control, testing, readiness, and stakeholder communications.
• Lead a team of system analysts, overseeing hiring, coaching, performance management, resource allocation, and professional development.
• Advise business leaders and align application roadmaps with organizational priorities and transformation goals.
• Oversee governance, compliance, risk management, data integrity, security, and system integrations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least 10 years of experience in ERP management or operations, preferably in healthcare or other highly regulated environments.
• Hands-on experience with Workday, UKG, Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, or comparable enterprise platforms.
• Experience managing complex business application services, including ERP, CRM, HRIS, or financial systems.
• Proven experience with incident management, user support, service model development, release management, change control, and KPI tracking.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, communication, and data-driven process improvement skills.
