Laboratory Technician - Minerals

Location: Onsite at 3260 Production Way, Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada

Salary: $20.50–$21.50 CAD per hour

What you will do

• Receive, inspect, sort, label, crush, pulverize, split, and screen client mineral samples.
• Conduct routine testing, record test data, and communicate results.
• Calibrate, set up, install, and operate laboratory equipment and systems.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and maintain a clean working environment.
• Follow health, safety, environmental, and quality system protocols, reporting discrepancies to the Supervisor.
• Support special or ad hoc laboratory projects as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to handle samples and laboratory equipment safely.
• Ability to understand and follow work instructions accurately and on time.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong time management, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or collaboratively under pressure.
• Effective written and verbal English communication and authorization to work in Canada are required.
