What you will do

• Prepare conceptual estimates, cost models, budgets, bids, and detailed construction estimates from schematic designs, plans, and specifications.
• Perform quantity take-offs, establish database pricing from field production, organize bid spreadsheets, and assemble general conditions costs.
• Prepare bid-day documentation, including owner bid documents, insurance and bonding information, schedules, and timeframes.
• Compare subcontractor and vendor bids, prepare backup documentation, and participate in the buyout process.
• Provide technical guidance on constructability, scheduling, phasing, staffing, bid strategy, and project costing.
• Develop subcontractor and supplier relationships, coordinate bids and presentations, and lead assigned project bid closings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of related experience, or an associate degree with 5+ years of related experience.
• Proficiency in detailed estimate organization, quantity take-offs, and conceptual or schematic estimating.
• General understanding of construction concepts, practices, and procedures, including project schedules and facility durations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, and familiarity with estimating software.
• Strong analytical, logical, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards, with the ability to manage multiple projects under time constraints.
