Senior Staff Reliability Engineer (RF)

Location: San Jose, California, USA — onsite at 1730 Fox Drive

Annual base salary: USD 143,800–230,000, plus discretionary annual bonus and equity awards.

What you will do

• Define, execute, and analyze electrical, thermal, and mechanical stress tests for RF CMOS, GaAs PA, SOI filter, and advanced package technologies.
• Develop RF characterization, wafer-level RF, ESD, power-handling, thermal IR, RF HTOL, and DC HTOL test plans and procedures.
• Design and evaluate reliability test hardware and software for dynamic life testing of semiconductor RF devices.
• Coordinate reliability qualification schedules, laboratory operations, environmental chamber testing, and daily test activities.
• Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and failure-analysis activities with internal and external laboratories.
• Develop automation scripts and software modules for data analysis, visualization, plotting, and reporting; supervise technicians on assigned reliability tasks.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• 12+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, 8+ years with a master’s degree, or 5+ years with a PhD; minimum 5 years in semiconductor device reliability engineering focused on RF or power conversion components.
• Valid visa to work in the United States is required.
• Experience designing and executing ESD, HTOL, and thermal reliability stress tests.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex electrical and physical failure data.
• Experience with RF test equipment and measurement techniques, such as VNAs, power meters, or spectrum analyzers.

Nice to have

• Expertise in RF/microwave semiconductor devices used in wireless handsets.
• Familiarity with JEDEC reliability specifications and qualifications.
• Proficiency with JMP or Minitab for reliability data analysis.
