Commercial Construction Assistant Superintendent (Advanced Manufacturing)

Base salary: $95,200–$145,200 per year; compensation may vary in other cities and states.

What you will do

• Support construction workflow management in line with project schedules and communicate priorities to field staff and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with the project manager on schedules, installation methods, sequencing, and schedule commitments.
• Maintain daily records of work activities, site conditions, work orders, tickets, quality standards, and project documentation.
• Manage subcontractor relationships, understand scopes of work, identify problems early, and provide timely solutions.
• Administer the HITT safety program, support inspections and incident investigations, and ensure subcontractor compliance.
• Organize the site team, arrange temporary site facilities and utilities, expedite long-lead items, and manage punch-list and closeout activities through owner and architect acceptance.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; a four-year degree from an accredited university in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
• 2–5 years of commercial construction experience, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Ability to learn and use project-specific software, including Microsoft Office, Procore, Adobe, and Bluebeam.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, prioritization, data interpretation, collaboration, relationship-building, adaptability, integrity, and continuous-improvement skills.
• Ability to work respectfully and professionally with colleagues, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and people from varied backgrounds and working styles.

Nice to have

• Experience with tenant renovations, service work, occupied spaces, weekend work, or fast-paced projects.
• Project lead experience.
• OSHA 30 certification.
