Commercial Construction Assistant Superintendent (Advanced Manufacturing)

Location: Falls Church, Virginia, United States; onsite construction work

Base salary: $79,200–$132,000 per year, with compensation varying by city, state, experience, qualifications, education, skills, and training.

What you will do

• Support project scheduling and ensure appropriate installation methods and sequencing.
• Coordinate priorities and maintain working relationships with field staff, subcontractors, clients, vendors, and community stakeholders.
• Maintain daily logs, work orders, tickets, and accurate documentation of site activities and conditions.
• Manage project quality standards, identify problems early, and provide solutions while controlling unnecessary change orders.
• Organize the site team, arrange temporary facilities and utilities, and expedite long-lead items.
• Administer the safety program, coordinate incident reporting and investigations, and support inspections by outside agencies.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; a four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Ability to learn and use project-specific software, including Microsoft Office, Procore, Adobe, and Bluebeam.
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong professional communication, organization, prioritization, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Falls Church, Virginia, and support construction site operations and safety requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with tenant renovations, service work, occupied spaces, weekend work, or fast-paced projects.
• Project lead experience.
• OSHA 30 certification.
