TL;DR

Location: Eugene, Oregon, United States. Onsite presence at the employee site is required during regularly scheduled business hours.

Salary: $19.00–$34.03 per hour. The hiring rate depends on experience, education, responsibilities, location, and performance.

What you will do

  • Register patients and provide, collect, verify, and file examination paperwork.
  • Update demographic and insurance information, collect co-pays and balances, and provide receipts.
  • Answer, screen, and route calls, respond to routine questions, and relay accurate messages to clinical staff.
  • Schedule surgeries and coordinate care with local hospitals and surgery centers.
  • Schedule return appointments, provide appointment instructions, and manage cancellations and rescheduling.
  • Maintain patient records in accordance with confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPAA requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel required.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, maintain high performance standards, and deliver quality service.
  • Ability to work in person in an office or clinical environment and meet the physical requirements of the position, including extended standing and walking and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
  • Required e-learning courses must be completed within 90 days of starting the position.

  • Reception or office experience.
