What you will do

• Perform Windows server physical-to-virtual migrations.
• Build and manage distributed VMware ESX server clusters.
• Install and configure vCenter, virtual switches, ESX storage pools, VMware High Availability, and Distributed Resource Scheduling.
• Administer Windows servers, clustered and standalone systems, SAN storage, networks, printers, and backup infrastructure.
• Support internal servers, print objects, and end users, including after-hours maintenance and support.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional Windows systems administration experience and 5 years of VMware systems administration experience.
• At least 3 years of data backup and recovery administration experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or a related IT discipline.
• MS MCSE or equivalent certification.
• Experience with SAN administration, VMware auto-provisioning, Windows server migrations, SNMP, and end-user support.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, DFS, IIS, SQL Server, Symantec security products, BigFix, Backup Exec, firewalls, switches, and Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Backup Exec v12.5 or v2012 experience.
• VMware View and VMware vShield experience.
• Using VMware for disaster recovery and capacity planning for distributed clusters.
