Director, Product Design (E-commerce)

Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States — onsite

Salary: $180,000–$185,000 per year

What you will do

• Define and drive the overall user experience strategy based on user needs, behavior, and market dynamics.
• Lead design initiatives for the company’s online presence, experience frameworks, and long-term product roadmaps.
• Partner with executive leadership, product, engineering, and business teams to align UX strategy with company objectives and scalable growth.
• Establish UX standards, governance, quality reviews, and measurement frameworks across platforms.
• Manage and mentor product designers, setting quality standards and review processes while supporting professional growth.
• Contribute design insights to product strategy and use analytics and experimentation platforms to evaluate A/B tests.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, UX Design, Computer Graphics Technology, or a related field with 9 years of progressively responsible product design experience; alternatively, a relevant master’s degree with 7 years of experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in a product design lead or management role.
• Experience building and managing a design team and establishing user-centered design processes.
• Experience designing for desktop, mobile, responsive web, and native operating systems.
• Experience designing e-commerce, B2C, B2B, and SaaS applications across multiple products.
• Experience with interface design, prototyping, visual design, product analytics, A/B testing, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
