Senior Director, Product Design

Location: DC-Washington-TWP Headquarters; on-site five days a week

Salary: $211,700–$352,900 annual, with potential bonus or incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Set the long-term design vision and strategy for the product portfolio.
• Shape product and business strategy with leaders across Product, Technology, Newsroom, Opinion, and business functions.
• Drive design strategy for premium subscriber experiences that support acquisition, conversion, engagement, retention, and growth.
• Lead the product expression of the visual identity across customer touchpoints.
• Oversee the evolution of design systems, interaction patterns, and scalable experience frameworks.
• Build and lead a high-performing product design organization while developing design leaders and talent.

Requirements

• 5+ years leading and improving user-facing digital products and experiences.
• Experience in direct-to-consumer, media, subscription, or similarly complex digital businesses.
• Demonstrated success defining product design vision and strategy across multiple products, platforms, or customer journeys.
• Experience leading product design teams and design leaders.
• Deep expertise in digital product, interaction, visual design, customer journeys, and design systems.
• Portfolio demonstrating impact on customer experience, product strategy, design quality, and business outcomes.
