Field Operations Manager (Home Weatherization)

Location: Remote within New Jersey; candidates must be in or willing to relocate to New Jersey. Up to 60% local travel is required for site visits, conferences, contractor meetings, trainings, and events. A reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license are required.

Salary: $98,187–$166,919 per year

What you will do

• Manage daily Home Weatherization field operations, contractor coordination, field staff oversight, project execution, and production targets.
• Oversee contractor performance, schedules, service interruptions, production pipelines, and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate contractors, auditors, field teams, program leadership, and other stakeholders while resolving operational issues and customer concerns.
• Monitor quality, productivity, compliance, safety, and customer satisfaction metrics; develop corrective action plans when needed.
• Conduct field visits, audits, and performance reviews for compliance with program requirements, BPI standards, safety protocols, and installation quality expectations.
• Analyze production and backlog data, forecast capacity needs, maintain dashboards and reports, and implement process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, with one year of relevant experience substitutable for one year of education.
• At least 3 years of experience in energy-efficiency retrofit project management or related work, including weatherization measures, energy audits, and health and safety protocols.
• BPI Professional Certification such as Energy Auditor, BA-P, or QCI.
• Must pass a background check, Motor Vehicle Records check, and drug screening.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and ability to complete up to 60% local travel in New Jersey.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Nice to have

• BPI Heating Professional Certification.
• Experience with income-qualified programs or utility-sponsored initiatives.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
• Ability to perform physical activities including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing stairs and ladders, walking, standing, and installing equipment.
