Product Compliance IMDS Specialist I

Location: On-site at a hirify.global facility in North Riley 3; not eligible for remote work. U.S. work authorization is verified through E-Verify.

What you will do

• Interpret and apply international, federal, state, and local chemical substance regulations, including TSCA, REACH, RoHS, GHS, and CLP.
• Maintain environmental product compliance tools such as IMDS, CDX, and Assent.
• Provide subject-matter guidance on complex international chemical and product compliance requirements in partnership with legal counsel.
• Educate engineering and program management teams and support regulatory inquiries, document reviews, surveys, and questionnaires.
• Analyze Engineering Change Orders related to product changes and recommend appropriate compliance actions.
• Maintain current regulations, standards, codes, and customer specifications and complete assigned compliance projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a closely related field focused on chemical substance regulations.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in IMDS, environmental compliance, or chemical product regulatory roles.
• Deep understanding of global chemical regulations and country-specific chemical control laws.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Smartsheet.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, prioritization, independent work, and deadline management.
• Ability to travel occasionally.

Nice to have

• Experience researching applicable rules, regulations, and standards using online resources.
• Prior service on product compliance or regulatory committees.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
