Location: Toronto, Canada; consistent onsite presence at a firm office and travel to client sites required

Compensation range: CAD 58,500–94,000 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary performance bonus.

What you will do

  • Coordinate audits of complex financial statements, disclosures, and other client deliverables.
  • Apply hirify.global’s Global Audit Methodology and relevant accounting and auditing standards.
  • Lead fieldwork by monitoring productivity, schedules, and adherence to engagement work plans.
  • Train and supervise Audit Associates and provide feedback on performance improvement opportunities.
  • Identify and communicate significant accounting and auditing matters to managers, senior managers, and partners.
  • Prepare board communications, deficiency letters, management letters, and other client deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or another discipline from an accredited university.
  • Active CPA license or demonstrated progress toward CPA licensure in the province of residence.
  • 2–3 years of recent assurance experience in a public accounting environment.
  • Experience supporting audits from planning through completion, including testing, financial statement preparation, workpaper review, and staff mentoring.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP, CASs, or other relevant regulatory requirements, with strong analytical, research, problem-solving, and professional judgment skills.
  • Ability to maintain consistent onsite presence during core business hours, work at client sites, and travel up to 25% of the year; reliable transportation is required.
