Software Engineer (Java/TypeScript)

What you will do

• Design, develop, integrate, test, and perform QA for a complex cloud-based software planning system.
• Build backend infrastructure and frontend web applications using Java and TypeScript.
• Design and implement APIs and integrate software systems.
• Write maintainable, extensible code and formal software documentation.
• Collaborate onsite in a government lab with distributed development partners and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer or Developer.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• US citizenship and eligibility for access to classified information are required.
• Proficiency in Java, TypeScript, and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with APIs, software integration, full-stack web development, and technical communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Spring Boot, React, Redux, WebGL, or OpenGL.
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD.
• Experience with software design documentation, user interface development, DevSecOps, and troubleshooting.
• Mathematics background in probability and statistics, linear algebra, or multivariate calculus.
• Prior experience with the US Navy or other Department of Defense agencies; active TS/SCI Clearance.
