DC Team Lead - Outbound (Animal Health)

Location: Colonial Heights, Virginia, United States; onsite distribution-center role

What you will do

• Lead and motivate the outbound team in order preparation, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Coordinate workflows and ensure shipping cut-off times are met.
• Ensure compliance with DOT hazardous-material requirements, including ORM-D and carrier procedures.
• Maintain proper packing procedures, supplies, equipment, and a safe working environment.
• Monitor performance, identify training needs, provide feedback, and implement team training.
• Perform building security checks and open or secure the distribution center as needed.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a warehouse or production environment; experience directing workflow is preferred.
• Effective communication, organization, prioritization, and deadline-management skills.
• Experience with PC data entry and knowledge of receiving, shipping, and inventory-control processes.
• Ability to become forklift certified; existing forklift certification is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand English for product descriptions, labels, shelves, and other documents.
• Ability to perform basic math, lift 30 pounds regularly and 50–70 pounds occasionally, and stand or walk on concrete throughout the shift.
