Material Handler Operations Lead

Location: Memphis, TN, USA; onsite at the distribution center

What you will do

• Direct daily workflow while working alongside material-handling associates and partnering with the department Supervisor.
• Support order fulfillment, including picking, packing, manifesting, staging finished shipments, and following client-specific pack-out procedures.
• Operate and maintain certification on powered industrial vehicles, including forklifts, cherry/order pickers, dock stockers, electric pallet jacks, and Bendi forklifts.
• Maintain safe operations through equipment checklists, safety requirements, inventory checks, and accurate shipping-supply levels.
• Identify operational obstacles, communicate issues, and participate in problem-solving for warehouse processes.
• Provide day-to-day oversight, recruit and train associates as needed, and support compliance with productivity and process standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, such as a GED.
• At least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced distribution warehouse or stockroom environment.
• Availability for a minimum of 40 hours per week across 5 days, with overtime as needed.
• Strong verbal communication, reading, addition, and subtraction skills for order-specific documentation.
• Ability to follow instructions and SOPs accurately, work with minimal supervision, and meet productivity and zero-defect standards.
• Ability to stand or walk for at least 80% of the shift, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform bending, squatting, pivoting, and stooping.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of distribution warehouse experience, including 2+ years in a team lead or supervisor role.
• Experience in a pharmaceutical or medical warehouse environment.
• At least 1 year of forklift operation experience or equivalent certification.
• Experience coaching and training associates, solving warehouse issues, and enforcing SOP compliance.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
