Consultant, Production Application Support (Azure/Oracle)

Location: Toronto, ON — Toronto-81 Bay, 28th Floor. The work arrangement and proportion of on-site and remote work will be discussed during the interview.

What you will do

• Provide second-level support for internal and external production applications, client issues, technical incidents, website outages, and operational questions.
• Investigate, prioritize, document, and resolve incidents based on severity, risk, and business impact.
• Maintain production applications and coordinate 24/7 operational support and recovery efforts.
• Manage escalations and collaborate with business partners, technology teams, vendors, QA, project teams, clients, and senior management.
• Assess the impact of planned system changes and projects while supporting business continuity, security, compliance, and privacy requirements.
• Research outages and recurring problems, recommend corrective actions, and improve procedures, policies, and standards.

Requirements

• Legal eligibility to work in Canada at the specified location is required; a valid work or study permit may be required.
• At least 7–9 years of hands-on experience with Unix, Oracle Database, WebLogic, Solaris/Linux, Azure, Autosys, ETL tools, messaging interfaces, and DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with incident, change, problem, and release management.
• Experience supporting internal applications and working knowledge of brokerage products, services, structures, and operations.
• Strong investigation, debugging, systems troubleshooting, critical-thinking, communication, and collaboration skills.
