General Accounting Manager

Location: Straubenhardt, Germany; hybrid work arrangement

What you will do

• Supervise, coach, and develop the local accounting team, including setting goals and supporting retention and inclusion.
• Manage statutory and corporate accounting processes, monthly financial closing, reporting, journal entries, accruals, provisions, and account reconciliations.
• Analyze balance sheet and profit and loss movements and coordinate intercompany reconciliations with hirify.global Group entities.
• Coordinate statutory audits, prepare annual financial statements, and support income tax returns and transfer pricing documentation.
• Manage internal controls, update control process documentation, and coordinate internal audit activities.
• Standardize accounting processes, promote digital improvements, support ERP developments and migrations, and assist with merger and acquisition activities.

Requirements

• Degree in finance, business, or accounting, preferably in an international environment.
• At least five years of professional accounting experience.
• At least two years of experience managing or supervising a team.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, balance sheets, tax law, and US GAAP to local GAAP differences.
• Good ERP knowledge, ideally SAP, with an independent, organized, analytical, and problem-solving approach.
• Good English and German language skills required.
