Assistant Project Manager

Location: Fargo, North Dakota; initially onsite at a large data center project near the Fargo area. Travel to project work sites up to 70+ miles away may be required.

Estimated pay: $78,000–$124,000 per year.

What you will do

• Coordinate safety, budgets, contracts, schedules, trade contractors, and suppliers with the Superintendent and Project Manager.
• Prepare and monitor construction schedules, resolve schedule issues, and support updates to the master schedule.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, ASIs, submittals, change orders, project logs, and construction documentation.
• Manage material procurement, including approvals, fabrication progress, and delivery status.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, cash flow, pay applications, lien waivers, and contractor payments.
• Support risk assessments, constructability reviews, quality control, meetings, punch lists, and project close-out.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering with 2+ years of related project management experience; alternatively, an associate degree in construction management with 4+ years of related experience.
• Knowledge of shop drawing submittals and ability to read and understand building plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Procore, P6, Bluebeam, and Prolog.
• Current or ability to become current with OSHA 30 and company safety requirements.
• Ability to work onsite in varying, sometimes extreme, climate conditions and travel to project sites up to 70+ miles away.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, interpersonal, integrity, and prioritization skills.
