Commercial Construction Assistant Project Manager

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; full-time commercial construction role with collaboration involving project superintendents and site operations.

Salary: $84,700–$121,000 per year, with compensation varying by city and state.

What you will do

• Coordinate and distribute the information and authorizations required to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to specified quality standards.
• Maintain safety standards and ensure required project documentation is filed.
• Assist with project budgets, pre-construction RFP packages, project meetings, milestones, and monthly owner reports.
• Establish and manage RFIs, submittals, pay applications, and subcontractor change orders.
• Update schedules, support quality control, manage project logistics, and assist with closeout.
• Collaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; a four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
• Two to five years of commercial construction experience, including work with a commercial general contractor.
• Experience on commercial office interior job sites is strongly preferred.
• Ability to learn and use Microsoft Office, Procore, Adobe, Bluebeam, JD Edwards, and other project-specific software.
• Strong communication, organization, prioritization, data interpretation, collaboration, relationship-building, integrity, and adaptability skills.
