What you will do
- Architect and develop safety-critical embedded software for industrial systems.
- Build low-level firmware in C, C++, Rust, and PLCs to control actuators, process high-speed sensor data, and execute fault-tolerant control logic.
- Design control architectures, state machines, and data acquisition systems for mission-critical hardware.
- Create automated build, test, and validation infrastructure and own software through deployment.
- Integrate firmware with hardware, troubleshoot electromechanical systems, and support system bring-up.
- Perform safety analyses, debug embedded systems with laboratory instrumentation, and contribute to system testing and commissioning.
Requirements
- BS degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or another STEM discipline.
- 5+ years of professional experience.
- Experience developing software in C, C++, Golang, Python, or Rust.
- Experience with embedded or low-level systems development.
- Strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to make recommendations using first principles with partial information.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.
Nice to have
- Data acquisition system setup, maintenance, and development.
- Electrical hardware troubleshooting and PCBA bring-up.
- Digital signal processing and low-level communication protocol debugging.
- PLC/SCADA programming.
- Security analysis, threat modeling, or experience in a fast-paced technical environment.
