TL;DR
Senior Acquisition Program Analyst (AMS3) (Defense Acquisition): Supporting program and deputy program managers with acquisition planning, program analysis, financial management, and process improvement with an accent on Navy and Department of Defense acquisition programs. Focus on developing and reviewing acquisition strategies and plans, preparing milestones and gates, reviewing procurement requests, and maintaining regulatory and budget compliance.
Location: Washington, DC, with on-site work at the Washington Navy Yard or nearby offices up to five days per week. Limited telework may be available with customer approval. Occasional travel may include Norfolk, VA, and San Diego, CA.

What you will do
- Support the Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager within a 200-person contractor team.
- Provide daily acquisition management, program analysis, and analytical support to senior executives.
- Evaluate, plan, and improve acquisition processes, strategies, and financial activities.
- Support compliance with applicable regulations, budget control, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and review acquisition strategies and plans, prepare milestones and gates, and review procurement requests.
- Manage records, conduct business research and valuation analysis, and contribute to team leadership and administrative activities.
Requirements
- Eligibility to obtain a Secret clearance is required.
- One qualifying education and experience combination: high school diploma or GED plus 20 years of relevant experience; bachelor's degree plus 15 years; or master's degree plus 10 years.
- Relevant experience must include Surface Radars, Electronic Warfare, EO/IR, Decoys, and/or Laser acquisition or program analysis.
- Strong computer, finance, analytical, and detail-oriented management skills are required.
- Ability to work on-site at the Washington Navy Yard or nearby offices up to five days per week and travel occasionally.
Nice to have
- Active Secret clearance.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Knowledge of Navy and Department of Defense policy and guidance.
- Experience preparing and reviewing acquisition strategies and plans, milestones and gates, and procurement requests.
