Senior Project Engineer (Construction)

Location: Dallas, United States; onsite construction project role

What you will do

• Coordinate construction drawings, specifications, and other project documents.
• Manage submittal, drawing, specification, and RFI logs, along with monthly reports and quality documentation.
• Support material and permit procurement, subcontractor and vendor prequalification, scope review, change-order pricing, and schedule updates.
• Coordinate utility line locates and participate in Lean construction practices such as daily huddles and pull-planning.
• Conduct daily field walks covering safety, quality control, multiple trades, and constructability issues.
• Lead project closeout activities, including required documentation, completion reports, and LEED or green-building submissions.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant construction experience.
• Relevant college degree, or relevant field-construction experience with a commitment to obtain one.
• Thorough understanding of project documents and local building codes.
• Fundamental understanding of field engineering and site layout.
• Ability to solve problems proactively and collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and owners.
• Ability to work outdoors, move around uneven job-site surfaces, climb ladders and stairs, move equipment up to 50 lb, and maintain consistent attendance.

Nice to have

• Experience with Excel, Procore, Bluebeam, Egnyte, CMiC, Revit, or comparable construction technologies.
• Interest in integrated project delivery, process improvement, and construction technology.
