Plant Process Engineer (HVAC)

Location: West Union, Iowa, United States; onsite at the West Union manufacturing plant

Salary: $65,000–$85,000 base annually, negotiable based on experience, plus a monthly productivity and profit bonus.

What you will do

• Maintain and improve production processes, equipment, quality, and workplace safety.
• Train operators on processes, tool usage, tool maintenance, programming, and process-related issues.
• Design carts and production tools using 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks and coordinate their fabrication.
• Coordinate utility requirements and oversee the installation of new equipment with contractors.
• Plan preventive maintenance, troubleshoot machinery, provide hands-on production support, and test process changes.
• Implement Engineer Change Notices and Process Change Instructions while collaborating with safety, quality, industrial engineering, and plant management.

Requirements

• Four-year technical degree in electrical, electronics, mechanical, or a related curriculum.
• Strong mechanical and electrical engineering skills, including practical electrical experience.
• AutoCAD or similar software experience.
• Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work standing for 8–10 hours, use ladders, forklifts, power and hand tools, and electrical testing equipment.
• Ability to lift 35–50 pounds independently and work in a safety-sensitive manufacturing environment.
