Actuarial Reporting Manager

Location: Hybrid working in the United Kingdom, with 3 days per week in the office and 2 days from home. At least 1 office day must be in Dorking; the other 2 may be in Dorking, London or Basingstoke.

What you will do

• Lead actuarial reporting activities, including Solvency II balance sheet and P&L results, monthly reporting, and regulatory submissions.
• Provide financial insights and technical guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Explain complex actuarial concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Coach and mentor actuarial trainees within a collaborative team.
• Champion improvements in actuarial systems, reporting methodologies, and finance transformation initiatives.
• Support capital forecasting, dividend activities, model changes, and wider business initiatives.

Requirements

• Qualified actuary with strong experience; recently qualified candidates may also be considered.
• Experience may come from Life, General Insurance, or Pensions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate financial data into business narratives.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and expert-level Excel proficiency.
• Interest in finance transformation and process improvement.

Nice to have

• Experience with actuarial systems such as RAFM or Unify.
