UK Regulatory Reporting Accountant (Insurance)

What you will do

• Deliver quarterly and annual Solvency II finance processes, controls, and regulatory submissions for hirify.global UK.
• Support UK/EMEA Solvency II and other regulatory reporting, including Luxembourg local reporting.
• Contribute to the UK/EMEA regulatory reporting control environment and internal governance.
• Coordinate with US GAAP and legal entity reporting teams to maintain consistent processes and integrated data flows from SAP.
• Support external auditors, internal audit, actuarial, risk, ERM, and strategic finance teams on regulatory reporting matters.
• Oversee outsourced production of regulatory returns, provide feedback and training, and resolve reporting issues.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant; Big Four experience is preferred.
• Experience delivering Solvency II and regulatory reporting within a large, complex insurance organization.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of US GAAP, UK GAAP, European GAAP, Solvency II, and Solvency I.
• Experience working with complex finance systems and meeting tight reporting deadlines.
• Ability to explain complex concepts to senior management and work effectively in a matrix structure.
• Ability to mentor, coach, and develop key staff.
