Business Development Leader (Architecture)

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid work model with four days in the office and flexibility to work outside the office on Fridays.

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 USD per hour.

What you will do

• Identify, research, qualify, and follow up on business development leads.
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships across New York and the Tri-State area.
• Develop qualified project pipelines and support growth and fee targets.
• Participate in industry organizations, conferences, and committees.
• Coordinate sector marketing strategies, business planning, and ROI tracking.
• Prepare and review RFQ/P responses, proposals, marketing reports, CRM records, and interview logistics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of business development experience, preferably in marketing, education, design, construction, architecture, engineering, or economic development.
• Familiarity with the AEC network in New York City and the Tri-State area.
• Experience with public procurement and proposal document preparation, including persuasive storytelling.
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong relationship-building, collaboration, organization, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Entrepreneurial self-starter able to work independently and solve problems with minimal supervision.
