FPGA Designer

Location: Endicott, New York, United States. U.S. citizenship is required; the position may involve access to U.S. federal facilities and export-controlled technical data.

Salary: $73,923.20–$131,331.20 USD per year.

What you will do

• Analyze FPGA requirements and understand the surrounding system architecture.
• Review FPGA designs and implementations for complete requirements coverage.
• Design or review tests and simulations to verify system requirements.
• Support avionics projects ranging from independent verification and validation to reverse engineering and new design.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of related experience.
• Hands-on experience with HDL code generation.
• Hands-on experience with CHDL simulation using Questa or a similar toolset.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Nice to have

• Experience with safety-critical embedded firmware development.
• Familiarity with DO-254 processes and means of compliance.
• Experience writing HDL functional requirements and defining requirements-based tests.
