Configuration Management Specialist

Location: On-site in El Segundo, California, United States. U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret security clearance are required.

Salary: $97,000–$121,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Draft, implement, and communicate configuration management direction, processes, and practices.
• Identify, document, control, and audit system changes to reduce risk and improve efficiency.
• Develop and manage division-level Configuration Management Plans and coordinate their program-level integration.
• Support government-led Engineering Review Boards and Configuration Change Control Boards.
• Develop technical baseline products, change-tracking artifacts, and system configuration documentation.
• Maintain program technical baselines in document repositories and support Functional and Physical Configuration Audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant configuration management experience.
• Strong knowledge of mature CM practices, change-control processes, and engineering review and configuration control boards.
• Experience defining, documenting, and implementing CM processes for programs and projects.
• Knowledge of EIA-649-1, MIL-HDBK-61, DoD-5010-12-M, and DoD-5015.02-STD.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Active DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Nice to have

• Configuration Manager certification, such as Certified International Configuration Manager.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
• Experience working with military or DoD civilian clients and in multi-contractor environments.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance.
