Senior Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Systems Configuration Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado; onsite/hybrid. Travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations may be required upon government direction.

Salary: $120,000–$135,000 annually for Colorado.

What you will do

• Manage configuration documentation and technical baselines for space domain awareness sensor and command-and-control systems.
• Review contractor configuration management programs and data deliveries for accuracy, completeness, compliance, and CDRL conformance.
• Plan and administer Configuration Control Boards and other review boards, including minutes, actions, and change documentation.
• Evaluate proposed hardware and software changes, maintaining design traceability and protecting operational and sustainment capabilities.
• Prepare for and support engineering assessments, Physical Configuration Audits, Functional Configuration Audits, and other major technical events.
• Track deficiency reports, releases, patches, software maintenance, audit findings, and configuration-related action items.

Requirements

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required.
• Relevant experience and education meeting one of the stated qualification paths, including Configuration Management or Configuration Control experience and required DoD experience.
• Experience establishing hardware and software baselines for complex systems and using Product Lifecycle Management tools and databases.
• In-depth understanding of configuration change control, Configuration Control Boards, and change control documentation.
• Experience with hardware and software configuration audits, CM tool administration, inventory control, version control, data duplication, and media labeling.
• Understanding of all software development life cycle phases and ability to enter and manipulate database data.

Nice to have

• B.S. in a related field.
• Five or more years of DoD satellite operations training experience.
• DoD trainer certification specialized in space systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Access and Excel.
