Embedded Software Engineer (Medical Devices)

What you will do

• Design and implement software for diagnostic cardiology ECG products, focusing on the ECG signal acquisition subsystem.
• Develop real-time and non-real-time software in C++.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and software system tests.
• Collaborate with lead and senior engineers to define product design solutions.
• Apply continuous integration, static analysis, and other software development best practices.
• Contribute across design, implementation, verification, maintenance, and engineering improvement activities using Scrum.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in embedded software development.
• Experience with object-oriented design and implementation in C++.
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and development environments.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Perforce, ClearCase, or Subversion.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with distributed systems, network protocols, and multithreaded or concurrent systems.
• Knowledge of embedded Linux, Eclipse IDE, and embedded Linux toolchains.
• Familiarity with static and dynamic analysis tools, DOORS, and Rally.
• Experience developing medical device software.
