Embedded Software Engineer (Medical Devices)

Location: Hybrid role based in the Boston office; candidates should live within commuting distance to Boston.

Salary: $68,200–$116,000 annually, with potential bonuses and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Perform embedded software development lifecycle activities, including requirements management, design, coding, unit testing, and verification.
• Develop features and improvements, fix defects, and maintain software infrastructure.
• Contribute to the design and development of mid-complexity product features under the guidance of senior engineers or leads.
• Conduct design and code reviews, with emphasis on high-impact or large-scope changes.
• Apply cybersecurity best practices throughout software development.
• Support products and collaborate with internal and external partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 2 years of related software engineering experience using C/C++.
• Strong C/C++ design and coding skills.
• Experience with Qt/Linux, including Qt Creator.
• Strong written, verbal communication, and listening skills.
• No relocation package is offered; regular office attendance is required for the hybrid Boston-based role.

Nice to have

• Experience developing embedded software for medical devices.
• Real-time operating systems experience.
• Experience with device security, networking, IoT, wireless technologies, or 802.1X.
