Senior Software Engineer - Java Fullstack (Java): Building data-driven, scalable, and secure web applications and microservices for Gartner’s sales and service delivery organization with an accent on full-stack ownership, REST APIs, cloud deployment, and database performance. Focus on designing distributed services, resolving production issues, mentoring engineers, and delivering features through Agile/Scrum.

What you will do
- Design, develop, test, and deliver web application and microservice features from requirements through production support.
- Lead and contribute to architecture, technical design, code review, and design specification activities.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Perform root cause analysis of production issues and drive preventive improvements.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies and own sprint commitments within a globally distributed team.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and improve architecture, engineering practices, and tooling.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software development experience with demonstrated full-stack ownership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent software development experience.
- Advanced Java/J2EE and Spring/Spring Boot knowledge, including RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Hands-on experience with React, modern JavaScript, HTML, CSS, relational databases, SQL, schema design, and query tuning.
- Experience deploying and operating applications on AWS, including API Gateway, Lambda, and IAM.
- Experience with JUnit, object-oriented design, design patterns, Git, and Agile/Scrum delivery.
