Senior Software Engineer, Digital Products (Full Stack Developer)

BioSpace features a role supporting the U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (USP), an independent scientific organization that develops quality standards for medicines, dietary supplements, and food ingredients.

What you will do

• Design and build scalable digital product applications with React, Node, and Java Spring Boot.
• Develop and integrate microservices, databases, in-memory data stores, and GraphQL clients.
• Apply cloud technologies and AWS services, including EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, and API Gateway.
• Containerize and deploy applications with Docker.
• Explore and integrate AI-driven solutions to improve digital products and workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of software development experience focused on cloud computing and modern web technologies.
• Strong JavaScript expertise and experience with Node and Java Spring Boot or equivalent technologies.
• Experience with microservices architecture, relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, and in-memory stores such as Redis or Memcached.
• Experience with GraphQL clients, preferably Apollo Client, and familiarity with SQLite DB Browser.
• Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and AWS cloud services.

Nice to have

• Interest in applying AI/ML technologies to real-world use cases.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and AI-assisted design and prototyping tools such as Figma Make, Claude, or v0.
• Experience in regulated industries, including pharmaceuticals.
