Java Developer

Location: Chennai, India; hybrid work with in-person attendance at an assigned hirify.global office at least two days per week

What you will do

• Review and translate business requirements into technically feasible solutions.
• Identify logical defects and estimate delivery effort for assigned tasks.
• Develop high-availability, data-driven applications and web interfaces.
• Collaborate constructively across business and technical roles and support the growth of colleagues.
• Participate in code reviews, both reviewing others’ code and receiving reviews.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of application development experience with Java EE, JSP/Servlets, web services, JPA, JUnit, React, and JavaScript.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, JSON, Ajax, SQL, and user interface design.
• Experience with Spring and Hibernate frameworks.
• Experience with Linux and JBOSS 5.x, JBOSS 6.x, or WildFly application servers.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design, common design patterns, and architectural trade-offs.
• Experience with CI/CD systems and tools including Maven, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Artifactory.

Nice to have

• Experience with Next.js, Adobe Experience Manager, Harness, Sonar, or Checkmarx.
• Familiarity with XML/XSL and development environments such as VS Code, Eclipse Studio, or IntelliJ.
