AV Operations Lead

Location: Chicago, IL; onsite five days per week. Occasional early morning, evening, and other out-of-hours support is required for major events and executive meetings.

Salary: $95,600–$162,400 USD annual base pay.

What you will do

• Lead daily operations, readiness, maintenance, and support for conference rooms, event spaces, and audiovisual services.
• Coordinate technical delivery for executive meetings, conferences, town halls, webcasts, hybrid events, and special events.
• Develop event technology plans, run-of-show documents, contingency plans, and technical rehearsals.
• Provide hands-on support for Microsoft Teams Rooms, meeting connectivity, content sharing, presentations, streaming, and collaboration technologies.
• Manage AV incidents, service requests, support coverage, escalations, and real-time troubleshooting during high-profile events.
• Improve operational standards, documentation, room reliability, stakeholder experience, and technology capabilities in partnership with technology teams and vendors.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience supporting audiovisual systems, conference room technology, event technology, or related environments.
• Experience supporting corporate meetings, conferences, executive events, webinars, town halls, or hybrid event programs.
• Strong knowledge of audiovisual systems, presentation technologies, microphones, cameras, displays, audio systems, streaming, and conferencing technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms and Microsoft Teams collaboration platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, customer service, communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
• Must be able to work onsite in Chicago five days per week and be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with live events, event production, control-room environments, executive communications, large-scale meetings, or corporate conferences.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams Webinar, Teams Town Hall, ON24, Webex Events, or similar event platforms.
• Familiarity with production switchers, video routing, streaming platforms, and control-room operations.
