Senior Business Data Consultant (Reference Data)

What you will do

• Document and analyse client reference data quality issues across multiple asset classes.
• Map data flows, sources, ownership, and data lifecycles across credit, rates, FX, and other FIC asset classes.
• Perform root cause analysis covering technology, processes, governance, and ownership gaps.
• Maintain structured issue logs with impact assessments and recommendations.
• Support remediation roadmaps, prioritisation frameworks, and data readiness initiatives, including AI-related use cases.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to validate findings and produce data dictionaries, process flows, and reports.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in data or business analysis within investment banking or capital markets.
• Strong understanding of client reference data and data lifecycles.
• Experience working across multiple FIC asset classes.
• Strong data literacy, including SQL, data structures, and data modelling concepts.
• Ability to analyse complex data issues end-to-end in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Valid permission to work in the UK is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Experience with data governance, data quality frameworks, or master data management.
